2006 College Scholarships

Two Southridge High School seniors are the recipients of the 2006 Beaverton Sunrise Rotary $1,000 college scholarships.

Stellar Yi and Brooke Petkevicus were awarded the scholarships recently by the Rotary group.  Both students are International Baccalaureate candidates.

                             Stellar Yi

Stellar recently interned at a local law firm, in addition to her many school activities.  She is the daughter of Chong Sok Yi of Beaverton.  She plans to attend Oregon State University.

                        Brooke Petkevicus

Brooke participated in lacrosse, National Honor Society, Theater and Iron Chef.  As an Iron Chef member, she participated in a fund-raising evening which raised funds for Southridge's sister school in Matale, Uganda.  She will enroll at the University of California at Berkeley in the fall.
